Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Examyfi, operated by Pyzon, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India ("Examyfi", "we", "us"). They apply to this website (examyfi.com) and to the Examyfi application at app.examyfi.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a trial or paying for a plan you accept them. If you accept on behalf of an institute, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

1. The Service

Examyfi provides a question bank and tools to generate test papers, deliver tests online, read OMR answer sheets, and report results, for preparation for examinations such as NEET. Examyfi is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the National Testing Agency or any examination authority, and it does not guarantee any result, rank or admission.

2. Accounts

• You sign in with your mobile number or email address. Give accurate details and keep them current.
• An account is for one person. Do not share your password or one-time codes. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
• Administrators of an institute or a teacher workspace are responsible for the people they add, for the permissions they grant, and for having the right to enter their students' details.
• If you are under 18, use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Tell us at once at contact@examyfi.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Trials

An institute may use one free trial of 7 days with every Growth feature, limited to 3 question papers and 10 student seats; papers downloaded during the trial carry a trial watermark. No payment details are taken. When the trial ends the workspace becomes read-only until a package is purchased. We may refuse or end a trial that is being used to avoid paying, for example by opening repeated trials.

4. Plans, prices and payment

• Plans run for a fixed period, normally one year, from the date shown at checkout or on the invoice. They do not renew automatically. We remind you before a plan ends.
• Teacher and student plans are bought online. The price you pay is the one quoted at checkout, inclusive of all taxes. Payment is processed by Razorpay; we do not receive or store your card or UPI credentials.
• Institute packages are invoiced by us. Prices are inclusive of all taxes. Access for the agreed package, number of students and period starts when the invoice is settled, or earlier if we agree in writing.
• What a plan unlocks is described on the pricing page at the time you buy. A plan covers the subjects, the number of student seats and the features bought. Subjects and seats outside it stay locked.
• Upgrades. If you move to a plan that includes what you already have, the unused days of the earlier plan are credited against the new price as shown at checkout.
• When a plan ends, the account becomes read-only: you can view and download what you have, but not create new papers, tests or students until you renew.
• We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Teacher and student plans bought online can be refunded in full within 7 days of payment. The details, and the position for institute packages, are in the refund policy, which is part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, export in bulk, resell or republish the Examyfi question bank or solutions, or use them to build a competing bank or to train a machine-learning model;
• share one account among several people, or sell or sublicense access;
• attempt to get around subject, seat or feature limits, or to reach another customer's data;
• upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you have no right to use;
• interfere with the Service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or send automated traffic that burdens it;
• use the Service to cheat in, or to leak, any real examination.

Papers you generate may be printed and given to your own students in the ordinary course of teaching. That is what the Service is for.

7. Content and ownership

• Ours. The Examyfi question bank, solutions, software, designs and brand belong to Examyfi or its licensors. A plan gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them through the Service during your plan.
• Yours. Questions and material you upload remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them so that the Service can work for you. They stay in your workspace and are not shown to other customers.
• Students' data belongs to the students and is handled as described in the privacy policy.
• Accuracy. We work to keep questions and answer keys correct, and we fix reported errors. Even so, errors can occur. Review a paper before you rely on it, and report a problem from inside the app.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change or retire features. If a change removes something material that you have paid for, tell us and we will find a fair remedy, which may include a pro-rata refund.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or has an overdue invoice. Except in urgent cases we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. On closure we delete or anonymise personal data as the privacy policy describes.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profits, data or goodwill, or for examination results. Our total liability for any claim connected with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for loss arising from content you upload, from data you enter without the right to do so, or from your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first; most problems are solved by a conversation. Failing that, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, where the change is material, notify account holders. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the change.
